Aliant NewTel

Aliant Newtel serves as technical advisor for network design, provides circuitry to 12 of our community sites, and provides the backbone connectivity that links satellite and terrestrial networks.

SmartLabrador's satellite communications are provided by Telesat Canada. The company leant technical expertise in our network design, and continues to provide technical support and advice.

ColabNet is an integral partner in the design & implementation of the SmartLabrador Initiative. The company has great experience with previous initiatives such as RCST which were forerunners to SmartLabrador.

The CRC is a lead partner in the SmartLabrador Initiative, providing technical expertise and human resources in the design and deployment of our satellite network component.

Specialist in wireless communications, Cooper Communications have provisioned wireless links in many SmartLabrador communities.

Tetra/Telemedicine

• Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University
• Research facility for IT in health and education services
• Audioconferencing, videoconferencing and consulting services

Tetra provides Telemedicine expertise and videoconferencing bridging facilties to SmartLabrador. The Tetra staff bring a wealth of experience with videoconference technology and training.
